Family business Gasser: Not necessarily many "cooks" have to spoil the porridge.
Together with his wife Bernadette, Gasser Siegfried opened the Gasser bakery in Lüsen in December 1990. Space had to be found on 180 square metres for production and sales. With 2 further employees the company always worked its way up. Gradually, points of sale were added where food was also sold and is still offered today. In 2004 the new production facility was built to meet the increasing demand.
As one of 40 bakeries, the company participates in the "Regio-Korn" project. Regional grain" from South Tyrol, even if it is still available in small quantities, is promoted with regard to its cultivation and processing. Added value in the region - a sustainable initiative that is also well received by consumers.
Eight points of sale, support for several resellers and various hotels in the Eisacktal region keep the company on its toes. Meanwhile, the sons are also active in the company. The youngest, Oliver, has dedicated himself to the confectionery. Michael is the master baker and the oldest, Christian, is a trained businessman and takes care of branches, customers and office work. Today the Bäckerei Konditorei Gasser has 70 employees*, 8 of whom are apprentices, making it the largest employer in Lüsen. All employees* have one thing in common: their satisfaction.
