Flora & fauna

Where diversity takes root

Our destination is surrounded by a diverse natural landscape with valuable habitats for plants and animals. This biodiversity is an important part of our holiday region and should be preserved for future generations. We raise awareness of respectful behaviour towards flora and fauna and encourage nature experiences shaped by care and consideration.

This is how we help protect our natural environment - practical tips from our holiday region:

  • Stay on marked trails: Many plants grow in sensitive areas, and shortcuts can damage soil and vegetation.
  • Keep dogs on a lead: This helps protect wildlife and grazing animals and allows others to enjoy nature in peace.
  • Do not pick flowers or plants: What grows along the trail is part of the natural habitat. It is best to admire it, take a photo and leave it where it belongs.
  • Show consideration on alpine pastures: Grazing animals are part of our cultural landscape. Please keep your distance, close gates and barriers, and stay on the paths.
  • Keep noise to a minimum: Less noise protects animals and makes the experience of nature even more rewarding.
