We encourage the mindful use of resources and the prevention of waste. Less litter in nature means better protection for landscapes, animals and water. With information and simple tips, we support guests in reducing waste and helping to keep our region clean.
This is how we keep our holiday region clean - practical tips for enjoying nature and hiking responsibly:
- Take everything back with you: Whatever you bring onto the trail should come back down with you, including tissues, chewing gum, tea bags and fruit peel.
- Pack snacks without unnecessary packaging: Reusable containers instead of foil, and refillable bottles instead of disposable ones, help reduce waste on the go.
- Cigarette butts do not belong in nature: They are both litter and pollutants, so please always dispose of them properly.
- Dispose of dog waste correctly: Use waste bags and place them in the designated bins rather than leaving them by the side of the trail.
