Candle on candle form a light path through the winding streets of the historical town of Klausen. In some cases, time seems to stand still. The flair of past epochs flows from all corners and the romantic old town offers the perfect backdrop for the Medieval Christmas Market. Night watchers stroll through the streets and tell stories, medieval music comes from the streets. A juggler flits through the crowds, and on the main plaza a fire shows his artifices. Medieval women, dressed in woollen clothes, are sitting at open fire place weaving cloth, while knights in coats of chain mail ride quietly through the streets.
At the medieval Christmas market, the stands are hide behind fir branches and in old cellars. The vendors are dressed in historical clothes made of wool and velvet. Turned wooden bowls, felted slippers, filigree carved crib figurines, various herbal farm products - a variety of Christmas gifts, all homemade with love.
