Evelyn Rier Every Art

Kaiserin Maria Theresia – Evelyn Rier paints this powerful historical woman onto a two-metre linen banner, just as she gives new life to forgotten fabrics and roots. Working under the name Every Art, she works between painting, appliqué, and recycled art. Being human, for her, is more than biology.
“Being human begins where body, mind, soul and relationship touch.”
About the artist
Evelyn Rier
Evelyn Rier, born in Bozen in 1985 and raised in Gröden, lives and works in Neumarkt under the name Every Art. In 2021 she realised a long-held dream and began to develop her own visual language; she has exhibited since 2022.
In her recycled art, painting merges with textile art: she combines recycled fabrics, polyester boards, roots and found objects with luminous acrylic and resin colours, giving forgotten things – old chairs, mirrors, roots – a new life. Her works tell of renewal and transformation, an echo of the life cycles she observes in nature. For the Triennale Klausen she presents Metamorphosis.
What inspired me to explore the theme of “being human”
For me, being human means the state of our being, one that reaches beyond mere biological existence. Being human means this complex interplay of bodily suffering and experience, of the consciousness of the mind and of the soul's existence, as well as all our social interactions.
