Gufi Walk at Gudon

Discover the picturesque village of Gufidaun along the family-friendly circular trail Gufiweg. The route takes you past historic sites that have shaped the village over the centuries. Along the way, Gufi the owl will accompany you, sharing fascinating stories about remarkable people and places from times gone by.

On your walk, you will encounter figures such as court servant Joseph Joachim Ruepp, who worked at the former court in Gufidaun from 1747 to 1804, the collector of fairy tales Ignaz Vinzenz Zingerle (1825–1892), who purchased Summersberg Castle in 1880, and the painter Josef Telfner (1874–1948), whose works can still be found in numerous homes and museums today.

So keep your eyes open and always look out for Gufi the owl! Along the route, you will also find a playground, benches and scenic viewpoints that invite you to take a short break. Have fun discovering the stories and special places of historic Gufidaun.

The figures drawn at individual stations are meant to fire children's imaginations and fuel their enthusiasm for the continuation of the story. Always with them is the owl Gufi, who awaits visitors at each station to entertain them with his stories in child-friendly language. So, always keep an eye out for Gufi!

Some of the stations were designed by artists from Gufidaun and the surrounding area and bear witness to the artistic past of the artists' village, which still attracts and inspires artists today.
Along the circular hiking trail you will also find great playgrounds, benches, viewpoints and places to stop for refreshments.

The most part of the Gufi Walk is also accessible with a stroller.
