The Villanderer Alm mountain pasture is not only a breathtaking hiking paradise in summer but also reveals its magic in winter. Sledding on the Villanderer Alm is an unforgettable experience for those who want to fully enjoy the winter idyll. For families with children, the Alpe offers well-trodden winter paths, particularly suitable for families with the possibility of sledding, even for the little ones. The gentle slopes and picturesque surroundings, combined with the fresh mountain air, make this winter activity a fun experience for the whole family.

The toboggan center "Lahnwiese" in Latzfons is a dedicated toboggan facility with a racing track and two family-friendly sledding tracks, prepared and secured. The track is also illuminated on Thursdays for an evening snow adventure!

How to stay safe on the toboggan run:

Be considerate of other tobogganists and those walking uphill
Always control your speed
Stay on the tobogganing run and be careful at crossings
Overtake others or stop your toboggan only in well-visible spots
Never toboggan on ski slopes
Observe information signs and markings
In the event of an accident, secure the spot from oncoming tobogganers and help those injured
Go tobogganing only with suitable equipment, including gloves and sturdy shoes
Always wear a helmet when going downhill on your toboggan
Never ride a toboggan while under the influence of alcohol

With its varied hiking possibilities for hikers of all ages, the vast Villanderer Alm also attracts many mountain enthusiasts in winter. The Totenkirchl church, the Schwarzensee lakes or the Prackfieder Jöchl – the silence and the panorama are unbelievable! Not to forget: the Latzfonser Alm. After cosy winter hikes, visitors are drawn towards one of the huts to warm up before a toboggan ride takes them back down to the valley in highspeed!
